Blue Issa Engagement Dress: This was the first time Kate was introduced to millions, not everyone has followed her with the same zeal that many of us do.

Here is how the regal style was described on the Issa website (before it was sold out):
“Electric blue Issa dress is sassy, a perfect special occasion dress and the colour is amazing. Issa has built up a reputation for getting the ‘fit’ perfect to the body, the designer understands the body and an Issa dress will flatter your shape no matter what shape or size you are. With Issa once you understand the twist and drape that works best with your body you will be a customer for life.”

Brazilian-born Daniella Helayel founded Issa in 2001, Kate has long been a fan of the line. To see Kate in more Issa styles, click here for our Favorite Designers – Clothing page, click here for our original post on the dress.
Reiss Nanette Engagement Photo Dress: No list of iconic Kate Middleton styles is complete without this dress, worn for one of two formal photographs shot by famed photographer Mario Testino.

The dress featured three-quarter sleeves with a cascading ruffle down the front and an exposed zipper, also on the front.  As we originally noted in describing the dress, it is unremarkable on the hanger, it definitely is one of those styles that needs to be put on before one can render an opinion on it.

For many, the appeal of the photo is in the image it projects, an upscale town and country look that transcends generations. For others, the Penelope Chilvers boots are alluring, click here to see more about them in Kate’s Favorite Brands – Footwear.
